Did you ever hear of the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” with Diane Lane? Well today’s Vineyard Romance was inspired by the movie and can I say how much I miss summer and want to travel to Italy by just looking at this shoot? The sunflowers, the cake are just a few of my favorite details in this laid back elopement shoot by Willowstone Photography
About the Vineyard Romance Inspired by “Under the Tuscan Sun”
“This styled shoot was inspired by a bride and groom who connected over their love of wine tasting and Italy. We were inspired by the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” to put together an elopement shoot celebrating a couple who were getting a second chance at love.
Gauthier Vineyard, located in the rolling hills of Virginia was a beautiful setting for our elopement shoot. Rows and rows of grape vines with a white gazebo in the middle bring a little Italy to Virginia. A bench made from an antique headboard is the focal point of our vow table. An old typewriter holding their vows is situated on top of a green velvet table scarf.
Sunflowers, grapevine, and rosemary add the perfect Italian touch to the vignette. Large sunflowers accented with sage and purple florals make a bright bouquet for our bride. After the elopement ceremony, an Italian inspired picnic is laid out for the newlyweds to enjoy.
Grandma’s hand me down quilt along with antique picnic basket holds a bountiful lunch of pressed Italian sandwiches, fresh cheese, and a savory red wine. And because we believe every wedding needs a little cake to celebrate, a tiered cake accented with rosemary, olives, florals, and lemon completes the shoot.” – Jessica
