About the Victoria Era Indoor Wedding Inspiration
Beginning with the draping of the long, reception table in a rich, dark blue velvet tablecloth, along with lush floral arrangements and additional candles throughout the table, this shoot easily gives off an ambiance that is truly warm and inviting.
The floral arrangements showcased jewel-toned specialty flowers such as anemones, ranunculus, sweet pea, garden roses, and so much more. These vibrant, gem-like flowers paired with a runner of silver candlesticks, in various heights and sizes, helped create a full spectrum of beauty. Anemones seemed perfect for this tablescape because of their soft, romantic look yet still making a distinctive and bold appearance.
The tablescape presented a unified and complete look by choosing silver trimmed white plates that was topped with light grey napkins. On these napkins laid a hand crafted menu that were graphically designed using Victorian details and dark blue accents. These menus matched the invitations that were individually sealed with a personal wax emblem.
The same dark blue velvet tablecloth from the reception table was carried onto the dessert table using the backdrop of the white, marble fireplace in the library with a regal backdrop that was created for the table using an assortment of silver candlesticks. This glowing ambiance sparkled as it reflected onto antique crystal decanters mixed throughout. For more vibrant jewel toned feel, small crystal glasses were filled with dark berries to accentuate the vibrant jewel-tones of the specialty flowers in bud vases.
Finally, to display the selection of desserts on the table, vintage silver platters and dishes were used for the lovely petit cakes by Bon Vivant New York who also created an intricate gold lace two tiered cake inspired by the Victorian era.
