Traditional Pakistani Wedding by Sohail Nashir

Ready for some change? Today I am taking you on a more traditional/cultural route that is rich in color, attire, jewelry and fun. One of the many reasons weddings like this are exciting for a girl like me is due to the number of events which spoil you with decor choices, clothing and over all style.
According to Photographer, Sohail Nashir:

“This is the story of a traditional Muslim Pakistani wedding. With the blessings of their parents and their enormous extended family, Rabia and Zaheen tied the knot on August 4th, 2013. The celebrations for their wedding started months in advance as they counted up to the final four days of the wedding. For most Pakistani families, weddings consist of two factors that must be followed; religion and culture. Religiously, all that’s needed to have a complete Muslim wedding is the Nikkah (Ceremony) and Walima (a formal dinner party thrown by the grooms’ family to announce the welcoming of the new bride.) Culturally, there is Mehndi (night of henna) and Baraat (arrival of the groom to take the bride away). The Nikkah is still required and can be performed either on the mendi, baraat or sometimes it’s done days, weeks, months or years before the actual wedding. The Walima can be done very simple (the religious way) or very lavishly (the culturally accepted way).”

Isn’t culture just the most beautiful thing ever? Rabia looked so stunning in all her 3 different looks but my fave is the green attire or the off white attire, I cant decide between these gorgeousness!
