Last real wedding of the month and it’s pretty exciting because it’s a kind of wedding we don’t see very often; a Spring Lunch Wedding! Today’s love birds Jillia and Stephen tied the knot a few months ago at the The Palmetto Club in Florida with photographer Michael Meeks Photography (Nonpareil) who is no stranger to KnotsVilla!
How they Met & Proposal Story
Jillia and Steve met through a mutual friend. Kelsey. The first couple of days consisted of hour long phone conversations, and text messaging back and forth all day. Their first date was Friday October 21, 2011 where they met at Hula Bay in Tampa, FL for some sushi and drinks. January 4, 2013, almost a year and 3 months later of being “just friends”, they had planned a day trip to Disney World. While at Epcot in the Italy pavilion, Steve told Jillia, that he didn’t want to be “just friends” anymore and that he was “all in”.
April 26, 2014, another year and 3 months later, they had planned yet another day trip to Disney, and at that same spot in the Italy pavilion at Epcot, Steve was talking to a good friend Bryan who was with them (and totally in on the surprise) about why this specific spot in Epcot was so important. “That makes 2 reasons why this spot is so special.” He said. “2 reasons??” Jillia said. Steve smiled and said “Well, 1… When we started dating, and 2… When I propose!” Then, Steve quickly took the ring out of his pocket, got on one knee, said some things that neither of them really remember, and asked Jillia to be his wife.
