Shabby Chic Barn Wedding by Andie Freeman Photography

It’s Tuesday that means a guaranteed real event day! Today’s Shabby Chic Barn Wedding by Andie Freeman Photography is definitely one for the books and looks!

Brooke and Aaron were married at a family barn in the spring of last year in a fabulously southern barn wedding. The barn, which dates back to the 30s, was in complete disrepair. But Brooke wanted to be married there. So her mom, Debbie, set about to restore the barn in time for Brooke’s wedding. And she did an amazing job! The Georgia “G”, which is original to the barn, really makes this venue stand out the football town of Athens, home to the University of Georgia Bulldogs. This town truly lives and breathes football.

Brooke envisioned soft colors, hay bales, chandeliers, and definitely her horses, which her dad brought all the way from Texas. Brooke and Aaron chose a food truck to cater their meal. Appetizers were served from the truck and the dinner was a buffet that was catered from the truck. It was the perfect spring shabby chic wedding in the house!! Even the rain held off for this stunning day!

Proposal Story – the Bride

Our proposal was very special. Aaron led me down to our pontoon boat while I was blindfolded. Once he took the blindfold off I realized there were candles lit everywhere. He made a scrapbook detailing how we met, to our dates, and how God had a plan and led us to one another. Once I was finished reading and looked up with tear filled eyes, he was on one knee and proposed.

Advice for future couples planning for the same event

“Get a wedding planner and get a great photographer! I wish we would have had a videographer too.” – Brooke
