These high school school sweethearts are seriously melting our hearts with their rustic romantic outdoor wedding. The wedding is lit with lovely rustic details, beautiful memories all in the perfect location!
A gorgeous location, the bride in her mother’s earrings (the same ones she wore on her wedding day), the bouquet wrapped with a piece or her mother’s wedding dress and much more; just a few of the details that make Morgan and Ronnie’s wedding a sight to behold.
About the Rustic Romantic Outdoor Wedding
“Our wedding vision was rustic romantic elegance. Our venue, The Gathering Place, effortlessly embodied our vision! The entire wedding was outdoors. Our ceremony took place in front of a gazebo lakeside. The reception took place in an open air lodge beside the lake. We chose soft colors of pink, ivory, and gold. Our flowers were delicate and romantic.” – Morgan
“My dress was ivory and entirely beaded and adorned with lace. I wanted my dress to be romantic and elegant to match the rest of the wedding. The bridesmaids wore petal pink short dresses. All of their dresses were lace and chiffon, but each girl chose they style they liked best. The guys wore navy blue tuxedos, petal pink vests and ties, and brown leather shoes.”
Fave memories of the Day
“Our most favorite part of the day was our ceremony. We both loved the excitement of seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle. Our pastor delivered a beautiful deep message about God’s design for marriage. We wrote our own vows. We loved how personal our ceremony was. Another favorite part of the day was our first dance. We danced to “Thinking “
“I tired to incorporate personal touches throughout our wedding so that our guests could feel our love. I also incorporated family heirlooms. I wore the earrings my mom wore for her wedding that were a gift from my great great aunt. My garter was made with lace from my great great grandmother’s wedding dress. I wore my late grandma’s engagement ring on my right hand. My bouquet was wrapped with lace from my mom’s wedding dress.
My grandma just passed away in January, so I wanted to honor her in a special way at our wedding. We had her picture on the memorial table, but I also had my flower girls toss rose petals that I dried from her funeral. It was meaningful to have her memory at our wedding.
I had one of my flower girls wear a wood sign that said “here comes your high school sweetheart.” We wrote our own vows that we kept private from one another until the ceremony. We took dance lessons for our first dance and had a choreographed ballroom dance to our song. At the reception we had wooden signs on the backs of our chairs that said “high school sweet hearts.” After a night of dancing, we ended the reception with a glow stick send off! “
How they Met
“Brentwood High School is where it all began! We went to the Snowball dance together, and little did we know, our high school love story would last a lifetime. By the time we’re married, we will have been together for 10 years, and we feel blessed to have been given all of th0se early years together.”
“Ronnie pulled off the most romantic beautiful proposal at Phipps Conservatory in June 2016. He reserved a private room and had my ring hidden in a rose. When we got to the center of the room, he knelt down on one knee, pulled out the rose with the ring, and asked me to marry him with the most sincere heartfelt words. He hired someone to secretly take pictures of the whole proposal, so that we can always have the pictures to cherish. We waited so long for that moment, and it was better than we both ever dreamed.”
