Real Destination Wedding @ Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica, All Inclusive Beach Resort

You know it’s a happy day in EWAM when we bring something new on here like our very first Destination wedding. Today Jessica and Washington have graciously shared their recent Vintage Romance destination wedding with us and from the pictures you can tell it was nothing short of the word Fun! Thanks to all the photographers (Chris Lee, Ryan Dury and Colin Hornett), travel agent, Kristina MacPherson from Flight Center Associates and the other vendors at the Grand Bahia Principe, Runaway Bay, Jamaica who made this feature possible.

There were many memorable moments from our wedding vacation but two of the most memorable were when I gave my Dad a personalized keychain that coincidentally had the same words engraved on it that he had also included in a poem that for me that was later read during the reception (waterwork central!). – The Bride
Another memorable moment was when my two good girlfriends sang “somewhere over the rainbow” in a beautiful rendition specially for us!! – The Bride
The Planning Journey:

Planning the wedding was super easy and I highly encourage brides to be who are considering a destination wedding to go this route! I am a bit of a obsesseser when it comes to plans and small details so when I learned that I had to sit back and relax until approx 30 days before our actual wedding date, I’ll be honest and say it was tough however I quickly adapted! Thankfully we both knew we wanted to go down south and choosing the resort wasn’t difficult at all. We picked the best resort that we thought would suit everyones needs all while being beautiful and affordable. We had 41 guests attend the wedding – all of which arrived 4-5 days prior to the wedding day which gave everyone time to get to know one another better (for those who weren’t already familiar with each other). We knew what theme we wanted to go with so I brought down all of our reception centerpieces (mason jars) along with our seating plan (old barn window frame) and table runners (burlap). The resort did a wonderful job of setting the tables up exactly how I envisioned! I was a happy bride!! – The Bride

Hi there, I have the Pisces rented as well. Did they charge you for the paper lanterns?
