Outdoor Winery Wedding | Amherstburg, ON | Sage & Sea Co.

Today’s wedding feature is yet another beauty that makes me miss summer so much! Rudolpho and Deanna’s outdoor winery wedding is hitting all the right notes with modern simplicity. With the perfect placement of Greenery and Blue colored accents, this wedding is sure to feel like the perfect cozy winery wedding.

About the Outdoor Winery Wedding

In 2016 the pair had visited Deanna’s family in Ontario and went on a wine tour. That’s when they talked about their future and how beautiful it would be to get married at a winery. They had been together for only a year, but the decision was made then. Their choice was Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery, located by Lake Erie and with an amazing building. the pair knew that the place was going to speak for itself, so they decided to go with clean, simple and chic.

Proposal Story

“A year and a half before the wedding, we already had a venue and wedding date. Rudi wanted to propose soon. Still in Brazil, he bought a ring with the help of his dad and sister. He told a lot of people that he was going to propose, except Deanna, of course. Rudi invited Deanna to go for a walk in a park on a sunny Saturday morning. When he eventually found the perfect moment, which happened to be on a nice wooden bridge, he got on one knee and pretended he was getting sunscreen from the bag. With the ring in his hands he said “I thought we would never be alone”. Deanna took a few seconds to look, which seemed like an eternity to Rudi. He popped the question, she said yes and kneeled in front of him. We both had tears in our eyes. Simple, beautiful and unforgettable.”

Wedding Planning Advice

“Our best piece of advice would be to hire a wedding coordinator! The day can be so stressful, and this really helped us to relax and enjoy the entire day. As well, it is your wedding so it should reflect you as a couple! If some traditions don’t resonate with you, you don’t have to include them. We also felt that it’s better to have a smaller wedding and be able to give a better experience to your guests, as opposed to inviting everyone and either blowing your budget, or having to skimp on “extras”. “
