Happy Real event Tuesday friends! Today’s Outdoor Tampa Engagement session is for the fun, chic and urban bride! By now everyone knows I am pro-styled/themed/propped shoots but I always remind brides to get a few classic ones too. Today’s couple did just that with 3 different looks for their engagement shoot. While my favorite is the second one (because I love how she looks in her “FEYONCE” shirt”), I have to say, Jonah and Heather make a gorgeous couple in all 3 looks!
Thanks to Andi Diamond Photography for this beautiful submission and congrats to the couple!
About The Couple (By the Bride)
A little background on Jonah and me… Jonah is from Palatka, FL with a culinary background and he now works in Sales for Honda Performance of Wesley Chapel. He has a passion for motorcycles and adventure. I am from Jacksonville, FL and work in Downtown Tampa at WilsonHCG. When I’m not soaking up the sun somewhere I’m out with our loveable Yorkie, Mollie. Together we love dancing, college football, and sushi. We are both Gemini’s with a glass-half-full view of life.
As cliché as it sounds, Jonah and I had instant chemistry when we met in August 2011. We met at work and quickly became the best of friends. He was like no guy I had ever met. I fell in love with his charming personality and witty sense of humor. When we began dating in March of 2012 I knew very quickly that he was the guy I would one day marry.
A year later we took on the adventure of moving to a new city, Tampa, which we now call home. It was scary at first, but Jonah was my rock and made the experience a positive one. It was so exciting discovering everything together. We found our favorite sushi café, bars, and beaches in the area.
Fast forward to December 2013. We took a vacation to the mountains of North Carolina to visit Jonah’s family for Christmas. After a couple of days, my mom and sister surprised me at the cabin. I thought it was simply a great family vacation, but turns out they had been planning it with Jonah for months.
The Proposal (By the Bride)
On the 4th day of our vacation we decided to take a day trip to the Biltmore Estates in Ashville, NC with the family. It was decorated for Christmas with trees and lights everywhere. It was beautiful! We walked through the entire tour of the house and everything seemed completely normal. Then as we neared the end and began to exit Jonah pulled me in for a private moment. After a few nervous words he dropped down in that iconic one knee pose and took my hand. Everything went BLANK. It’s true what they say, I couldn’t see anyone but him. The moment went by so quickly that my brain couldn’t even remember what he said!
Thank goodness for my sister taking pictures! The answer was YES without any hesitation and I know it is one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made. Next we were enveloped in hugs and tears from everyone. It was such a surreal and loving moment. Once the cheers calmed down we moved to the Biltmore Winery to continue the celebration.
Jonah makes me laugh every single day. We are a perfect complement to each other and truly work as a team… He cooks, I clean. Our relationship is the easiest part of my life and I’m excited for our wedding and future together.
