Proposal Story

“I (Lacey) was on a usual weekend trip visiting John where he lived in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida (AKA: Paradise). It was seemingly a typical weekend in which we went hiking and enjoyed the beach, except that Saturday evening John had made dinner reservations at the place he took me on my last birthday – The Vue on 30A.

We got ready in our date night attire and headed to dinner. Once we arrived, John asked if I’d like to watch the sunset on the beach before our reservation. He knew I’d say yes because I absolutely love the beach and ocean waves, especially at sunset. As we were walking, I noticed I was doing all of the talking.

So, I turned to look at him, and that is when he stopped me and looked into my eyes. He told me how much I meant to him and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He then knelt and asked the famous question! I was SO overjoyed and only cried a little! I kept staring at him then back at my ring in pure adoration and excitement, that I didn’t even notice that he had a photographer hidden taking photos!

We walked back up to the restaurant with a large cheerful congrats from dining guests then had a special celebratory dinner overlooking the ocean. It was just our kind of night – intimate and romantic. The absolute best part and only thing that I really cared about what the fact that I now could look forward to spending the rest of my life with this amazing man.”

Wedding Attire

“I love lush natural greenery and pops of color, so the wine bridesmaids dresses were perfect in front of the lush green vegetation. And the navy tuxes went well with the natural theme.”

Wedding Flowers

“The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and done by a family friend/florist, Karen Morris. I gave her examples and colors and she did the magic of putting together all of the flowers and decor. She’s amazing!”

Wedding Cake

“Our wedding cake was three tiers – the bottom tier was fully iced chocolate cake with Bavarian cream sauce, the second tier was “naked” or partially iced sour cream white cake with a blueberry sauce, and the top tier was “naked” or partially iced sour cream white cake with a coconut cream sauce.

Couture Cakes provided a variety of flavors encapsulated in a unique, gorgeous cake! Flowers also adorned the cake along with a custom wooden “L”.”

Favors – Non Edible

“We made custom koozies”.
