Oscars Wedding Inspiration – Oscars 2015

I bet you saw this coming, KV just had to do a recap of the Oscars wedding inspiration we caught on the red carpet yesterday! As you know, yesterday was the 87th Academy Awards – Oscars, and if you know me, I pretty much watch the red carpet alone for the Wedding looks. If the red carpet is boring (or full of half naked people), I give up early but yesterday was far from boring.

So much wedding looks you’d think there was a wedding just before the show. You know, the whites, blush pinks, silver and gold dresses that could easily pass for wedding dresses for many brides today. Some were a little bit over the top and gaga (pun intended), but some were just PERFECT!

Here are the Oscars Wedding Inspiration – for brides & grooms!

6. Lady Gaga | Bridal Style: Contemporary Ball Gown Bride | Dress: Azzedine Alaia

5. Viola Davis | Bridal Style: Traditional A line Bride | Dress: Zac Posen

4. Anna Faris | Bridal Style: Glitzy Modern A-line Bride | Dress: Zuhair Murad

3. Rene Russo | Bridal Style: Ruffle Column Bride | Dress: J Mendel

2. Oprah Winfrey | Bridal Style: Romantic Blush Mermaid Bride | Dress: Vera Wang

1. Reese Whiterspoon | Bridal Style: Modern Elegant Column Bride | Dress: Tom Ford

I love how Reese Whiterspoon has just been hitting all the right fashionable and wedding inspired notes lately on the Red Carpet. Only a little while ago she made our list of Wedding Inspired looks from the Golden Globes in that Calvin Klein Gown and here she is, stealing the show again with her Tom Ford dress!

Top – Bottom (L-R): David Oyelowo in a Marsala three-piece shawl collar tuxedo by Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Choo shoes | Adrien Brody in Dolce & Gabbana White Tux with Black Lapel and bow tie | Eddie Redmayne in navy Alexander McQueen tuxedo and black bowtie | Chris Pine in a sophisticated black tuxedo with black bow tie.

David Oyelowo is just awesome in my books and forever would be. Look at him rocking the Pantone’s Marsala look so perfectly. This color was just announced as the color of the year and check him out rocking the Groom’s look of the year! You can read KV’s Pantone’s Color of year – Marsala Post.

Question of the Post: What bridal and groom inspired looks were you loving from the Red Carpet? For me Reese & David rank #1, how about you?
