A gorgeous shoot like Liesbeth and Paul’s Normandy Coast engagement session is the perfect one to get the 2018 year rolling. Shot at the Cap Blanc Nez in Normandy, the styled shoot highlights the beautiful grey and blue neutral colors both in with the scene and the couple’s attire.

“As I’m a stylist myself I wanted a bouquet what goes well by they environment. A bit wildly but still with feminine flowers. And we a small table set up with element and colors of the sea of Cap Blanc Nez. With fossils and seagrass. And of course some sea shells.”

Normandy Coast Engagement Session

“We met at a lake, we got engaged on a island surrounded by water. So we need to had the surroundings of water in our engagement shoot. The beach of Cap Blanc-Nez has this amazing white cliff and the colors of the sea combined with all the grey tones. We absolutely love it. There is no better place to have our engagement shoot at the sea.”

How They Met

“We met in the oh so romantic Italy when we were 16 years old. We were both on holiday with our families, when our paths crossed near the beautiful lake of Caldonazzo. Since then we have been inseparable expect for distance.

While I (Liesbeth) lived in Rotterdam, Paul lived in Arnhem, approximately 1,5 hour drive away. For 6 years we have only seen each other during the weekends when possible, until Paul moved to Rotterdam. We have been going strong for 9 years already.”

Proposal Story

“Last year August we went on holiday to Miami, where family of Paul lives. We decided to take a weekend break to the beautiful Keys with just the two of us. Key West was our destination. While the weather was not as the usual blue skies and clear blue waters, we were determined to not let the weather ruin our trip.

Next to the island of Key West, there is a small island with a resort, the Sunset Key Cottages, with an amazing restaurant. A unique place, we just had to experience. So we made a reservation.

At 19.00 we were picked up by a private boat and sailed to this romantic and breathtaking island. That evening we were blessed with the weather turning around and giving us a beautiful sunset. And that is were our engagement story begins. Paul popped the question with the sunset and palm trees as background. A moment that we will cherish forever.”

The Engagement Ring

“My absolute favorite jewelry material is Rose gold. Paul has been searching the internet for 2 months and visited over 5 jewelry stores to find the perfect ring for me. I feel so blessed with a fiance that wants me to be the happiest.

The base of the ring is rose gold. the band is covered in small diamonds. On top of the band a flower is formed with 7 larger diamonds.”
