About the Nautical Christian Wedding
Esther and Craig had their ceremony at the Erskine Evangelical Church outside of Stettler, Alberta with their reception at the Stettler Community Hall. Being that here on KV we love themed weddings (and the christian faith), we couldn’t help but fall in love with their Nautical Christian wedding!
The pair settled for a nautical theme for as the Bride was born in New Brunswick and the groom in British Columbia. Their colors were a medium toned blue, lighter blue and a creamy neutral, similar to that of bits of glass found on a beach. They also included details like a custom made light fixture made of beach toned glass bottles, ropes and netting hanging over the dance floor and bits of seaweed decorated the tables and a boat served as their gift table.
Keeping in mind the role their christian faith played, Esther explained that they “wanted to keep their wedding God focused as he is our center”. With that, they chose to have a foot washing ceremony portraying service which Jesus Christ demonstrated with his disciples.
