Lena and Phernell’s opted for a simple color palette so as not to overshadow the details of their wedding location; the church and the downtown view. Their modern Portland wedding featured personal bits such as eye glasses and eye charts as the two are both in the eye care field.
Modern Chic Portland Wedding
“Phernell wears suits all the time for work, and wanted something special for this occasion, so Duchess Clothiers in Portland designed a custom suit for him. The lining of the suit features the name of the textbook he authored, called “Pure Optics”.
I wanted my dress to be simple and elegant, and found a local wedding dress designer who shares my first name, Lena Medoyeff. It was important to us to utilize local businesses whenever possible.”
Wedding Planning Advice
“We recommend that couples start interviewing potential vendors and book their favorites as soon as possible. Once you have the right team in place, and know they understand your vision, the wedding planning becomes easy because you will have complete confidence in their decisions. Our goal was to have a stress-free day where we were able to show up and enjoy every moment. We definitely succeeded!”
