Here on Knotsvilla from time to time, we get to see “hitched in a hurry” couples; couples who tie the knot faster than the traditional wedding is expected to take. But it seems that Ludacris and his new wife are topping it all when it comes to the rate of the “hurry” – the same day!
Ludacris and longtime girlfriend Eudoxie surprised us all the day after Christmas when they both revealed they were engaged. But there was more surprise underway as they announced only a few weeks later that they were already married. According to E! Online, the couple both experienced the engagement and wedding on the exact same day.
It was a quick wedding but one that was not lacking in romance and tradition. Though things were done in a very short time, this gorgeous Gabon bride was still able to incorporate bits of the “Something old, new, borrowed & blue” tradition into their wedding.
Her something old – her dress which is said to have come from her closet and had sentimental value.
Her something borrowed – the pearl earrings given as a gift from a loved one.
Her something blue – blue hydrangea in the midst of her pastel bouquet.
The bride told E! Online “We chose a simple and intimate wedding that was perfect for us, we wanted the day to be about our loving commitment to each other.”
Why the hurried marriage?
Here on Knotsvilla, we’d love to give a cheesy smile and ask “Why Not?” Clearly we are in agreement with Luda himself who captioned the photo on instagram, “Why Wait?”
