Katie Rivers excels in Photography of Liz & Ryan O’Connor’s Rustic Day

Just like Lynette tee, I found a photo of Liz and Ryan’s wedding on instagram and as usual I went digging further; that one picture (yes, this one to your right) sold me and I was absolutely not disappointed when I saw the rest of the photos. This featture is yet another memorable one for me because of the personalities of Liz and her photographer. Like I have said before, I love when my job is made easy and that is clearly what Liz and Katie made possible. I love a stress-free feature and I sure love anyone who can combine the word “Rustic” and “Classy” in one phrase…That’s right, Liz did!

Happy viewing on this one, and as usual Liz has provided great reviews for the vendors she used, click away and contact them if you are as impressed as I am.

“Our wedding was the most amazing day of our lives. We had a very long engagement (2 and a half years) because we paid for our own wedding, so we worked hard to save and plan for our big day. It came together in the most magical way- even better than we imagined it would. Ryan was very involved in all the details, all the planning. We wanted to make sure it was our day, and reflected our taste and style in every way. We think the details of our day are worth sharing! A lot of Pinterest projects, personal touches, and sweet moments that made the day even more special.”- Liz

Ryan says his favorite part of the whole day was when I arrived in a horse drawn carriage as a big bell rang. He said all he could hear were the horses galloping and his heart beating.- Liz
One of the best parts for me, other than walking down the aisle to Ryan, was the “dance” I shared with my quadriplegic father. He was paralyzed four and a half years ago, so dancing with him meant the world to me. There wasn’t a dry eye during those moments we shared together, and I will never forget it.- Liz

REVIEWS by the bride

Katie Rivers is not only an awesome photographer, but she’s a great person with a big heart. We instantly fell in love with her at our initial consultation with her, and we knew we were in good hands with her. Our engagement pictures were shot in land surrounding her home, and they were incredible. We knew when we saw the outcome of that shoot that we made the right decision. When it came to planning our wedding, photography was the most important part to us because it’s how we will forever remember the day. Katie’s photos of our wedding day far surpassed our expectations, and we are forever grateful to her for capturing the most amazing day of our lives!

Make up Artist

Michelle is a family friend (older sister’s friend) who is a trained esthetician and makeup artist. She did my makeup for Homecoming when I was in high school (before she had formal any training), so I knew when I got engaged that I wanted her to be a part of my big day. She’s incredibly talented, and she really did a great job making me feel like the most beautiful bride. I know my bridesmaids enjoyed their airbrush makeup, as well!

Hair Stylist

Hair was by another friend. Pamela and I grew up together. She was a stylist with the Salon 124 family before she had kids and became a stay at home mom. I knew I wanted to wear my hair half up for the ceremony and all the way up for the reception, and because Pamela was going to be at the wedding, it made sense to have her do my hair. She came super early the morning of the wedding since she had 10 people to do. After the ceremony, she met me before introductions to quickly pull my hair all up. She gave me two different looks for the day, and they were both exactly what I wanted!

Wedding Coordinator

Suzy is the Owner/operator of Neverland Farms. The venue was her vision, and man does she do an incredible job putting on a wedding! From the second we pulled through the gates of Neverland and saw the pasture, we were sold. We had to have our wedding there. When we met Suzy, it was icing on the cake. She is absolutely incredible. We booked the venue and knew we were in good hands with her. She takes care of so much; she helped make planning a breeze. A huge compliment to her as well as her team- so many people told us they have never seen a wedding that runs so smoothly and is so meticulously planned. Suzy became very special to us. We have continued to keep in touch with her, and we will certainly go back to visit her often.

Love the style of photography here. The blue colors integrated into the wedding is beautiful as well! Great job by everyone involved here.
