Megan and Mike had their Hoboken City Engagement on a beautiful and bright fall day by Idalia Photography. It all started out at Pier A Park and made its way to the Lackawanna Railroad Terminal. At the end of the session there was just enough light to get some pictures of them in front of Texas Arizona, a popular hangout for fans of Penn State; Megan and Mike’s alma mater and the place that brought them together.
“Mike told me that he had a work event at the Central Park Boathouse. This is a pretty formal place so I was dressed up. It was a beautiful day and we headed into the City from Hoboken. We walked through central park and headed toward the boat house. In order to get there you have to pass through the Bethesda Fountain…which has ALWAYS been my most favorite place in NYC (if not the world).
We began to walk down the steps and a choir was singing love songs with an acoustic guitar. As we stepped out toward the fountain he stopped me and dropped to one knee. I was shocked!! To my further surprise he had a photographer capture the entire moment. After that, we had brunch at the Boat House and then decided to have a glass of champagne at a local bar in Hoboken. As I walked in I was in for another surprise…he had invited all of our closest friends in to celebrate. He knocked the proposal out of the park!” – Megan
Everyone knows fall engagements are my fave but add that with a classy dressed girl like Megan and then I’m just speechless. From her dress, to shoes, nails and that gorgeous ring too! Hope you enjoyed this fall city engagement today and have an awesome Tuesday readers. xx
