Hey loves! Today we are all about Green and White weddings all stemming from the fact that today is Nigeria’s Independence day! As you may have guessed (or already know), I am Nigerian by birth so I try to honor my country of origin every October 1st one way or the other. Today I am doing this by racking up 3 different Green and White Wedding Inspiration boards; Simply Green, Leafy Green and Light Green.
The closest shade to the Nigerian flag here is the Pantone’s Simply Green and since this post all about honoring my country, I’d start with that 🙂
My photo inspiration for this was the place setting photo. I find the tiny gold rims on the plate and the napkin holder a little too awesome!

For this light green inspiration board, my photo inspiration for this were both the rectangular reception table with short centerpieces and that simple cake! Being that I have always wanted to attend a wedding with rectangular tables, I’d forever love photos of them.

This board has more focus on the object- the leaves and maybe that is what makes it my favorite board of these 3. It totally skips me away to a perfect vintage spot in a place I have never been before but imagined (Paris) for a small and intimate wedding! Ah, my dreams!
Now I have described my dreams with this board, it should be pretty obvious what my photo inspiration for this board was – yes, the couple by the green beetle car. Unlike the rest, this makes use of an additional color- brown and who knows, possibly a second reason why it appeals to me even more!

Hope you enjoyed this GREEN journey in honor of my country. Happy Independence day Nigeria!
