It doesn’t get any more Vintage than today’s session, I’m serious! Maggie Z Photography has captured and sumbitted these photos and couple’s details and I couldnt be any more excited to share. When Knotsvilla took the turn and became a blog for Color-ful, Culture-ful, Theme-ful and Prop-ful weddings, I had something like this in mind; this Florida vintage Engagement session is meeting my expectations too well!
Patricia and Adam met at work over a conversation about zombies, which led to lasting romance. They love biking, being outdoors, and dressing up in fun and elaborate costumes. Patricia actually makes and sells couture costumes with her company, Kostum Designs. With that being said, it was a given that their engagement session was going to be something a little outside the box. Patricia wore one of her creations, a Marie Antoinette gown, with Adam looking caper in his tuxedo. To add another cute element, the couple brought in a vintage double bicycle. To beat the Florida storms, they did this shoot at sunrise in absolutely delicious light, which added to the dreamy and majestic feel of this shoot.
“I hid the ring in her Christmas stocking before we were planning on taking down the Christmas decorations. She had been saying that she was sad that we had to take it all down because she loved decorating the room. I stepped out of the room for a second and of course that’s when she went to take down her stocking. She pulled the box out and yelped my name. I came in, got on one knee, and asked her if she’d be my wife. Star Wars was playing on the TV in the background.” – Adam
About the Shoot
“The goal of this photo shoot was to highlight the marriage between two distinct individuals. We wanted to convey the joining of two people and their special passions. We especially love the photo where Adam is in the front seat of the tandem bike, and I am leaning over the front tire kissing him. The empty second seat symbolizes the invitation for a second person to join their journey in life. Riding on the bike together, pedaling and steering in unison, symbolizes our new bond through life, and now moving together as a team.” – Patricia
