Samantha and Ryan are just the cutest in this Family Farm engagement session with Cassie Madden Photography. There’s something special about having life long photos in locations that mean something to the couple, like somewhere that was once called home. For this beautiful engagement session, they all met at Samantha’s family farm in the historic setting of Fort Laramie, Wyoming in late September, gifting us all with the lovely late summer landscape and early fall light.
Samantha and Ryan both carefully chose their outfits in terms of landscape and color coordination, making the cardigan, dress, and different button-ups, a great inspiration for couples on how to dress for an engagement session. We are absolutely in love with this session and of course the couple’s style!
About the Couple/ Proposal Story
Samantha and Ryan met at the local golf course their senior year of high school when playing on the golf team. They fast became friends and remained so until four years later when they began working at the golf course after graduating college at the University of Wyoming. A few rounds of golf later, they fell in love.
Unfortunately, Samantha had to move to Salt Lake City for her doctoral program, so it was almost four years before they could be back in the same state. When that time finally came, Ryan proposed in front of both of their families on his back porch. “It was perfect, and well worth the wait!” – Ryan
Wedding Planning Advice
“During the planning process for our wedding, the best part has been working together to come up with details that represent us as a couple. Our advice would be to really listen to each other about what is important for your big day, and enjoy every single moment of being engaged and the planning process; it is such a unique and beautiful time in your relationship and it only goes so fast!” – Samantha/Ryan
