Emerald Greenery Wedding Ideas | Winnipeg, MB

This emerald greenery wedding styled shoot idea came from a beautiful piece of emerald green velvet. The team selected the Manitoba Club as a venue for it’s classic and opulent feel. The Oak Room where they shot is in it’s original state and boasts beautiful views of the Upper Fort Garry Gate Park.

The overall design is classic and elegant with a traditional color palette of emerald, champagne and gold. The team chose a low hair style, vintage jewelry and traditional styled dress for the bridal model. They styledthe groom in a very traditional black suit with bow tie. The florals are heavy with greens to stand up to the cold weather outside and designed with a modern shape.

“My design inspiration came from a piece of emerald green velvet, which had such a luxurious pop of color and texture.  I wanted to create a warm and fresh feel to a winter wedding palette that didn’t centre around something festive or around burgundy. I mixed the emerald green with champagnes and gold to keep it feeling light. The Manitoba Club is traditional and elegant in design so I wanted the shoot to reflect this.

I asked the florist for something modern in shape and heavy with green and textures.  In Winnipeg winters flowers can wilt quickly with outdoor photos so I wanted something that would stand up to the chill.

The cake is modern and fresh with the anenomes and the painted style. I love how the colors pop. We used a vintage bar cart to show it off instead of a traditional cake table and it was so fun to style.

We wanted to keep the attire feeling traditional, so our groom is dressed in a classic black suit and bowtie. The boutonniere has a great pop of green.  The dress from Anna Lang was selected for the elegant and classic silhouette and the neckline, which created softness and a perfect highlight for our beautiful vintage jewlery.

The tablescape was designed to feel rich in color with the emerald, but still light and airy, so I incorporated the champagnes and gold. I kept to traditional pieces and design elements – taper candles, gold mercury and chargers to suit the style of our venue.” – Inspired Elegance Events
