This is a Styled After Wedding Shoot with real newlyweds. Makeeda and Seyi weren’t able to capture the bridal portraits on their wedding day that their hearts were longing for so they planned this classic minimalist wedding shoot a few months after their wedding.
“As Christians (both the photographer and bride and groom) we wanted these bridal portraits to be modest and classic, but what we captured from this shoot was so much more. Makeeda looks like a queen; her quiet confidence exuded her true royalty.
Our vision for the styled bridal portraits was modern, minimal and vintage. To achieve this we kept the ornamentation to the detailed Juliette veil which was the crowning glory to her stately and modest full sleeve white gown.
The simple bouquet of green foliage with delicate white flowers stood out in the early fall field of golden rod and purple asters. We would have been happy with any weather, but the moody late evening sky perfectly matched our vision and delicately lit this stately and regal shoot.
The intermingling river of calm and joy was palpable throughout this stunning shoot and is oozing through every image; it has left an indelible mark on my heart. What an honour it was to capture finally for them what they were hoping for. ” – Lisa Vigliotta Photography
Classic Minimalist Wedding Portraits – Design Inspiration
“We wanted to take a modern and minimal approach to a vintage feeling shoot for their styled After Wedding Shoot to feel timeless and classic.”
Describe your flowers.
“We knew there would be beautiful wild asters and golden rod in the field, and as not to clash or compete we kept our bouquet minimal. Our bride loves greenery bouquets with little white flowers, so we mixed in Italian Ruskus, Ivy, Fern and Seeded Eucalyptus with Babies Breath”

Makeeda wore her wedding gown made by Toronto Designer Zoba Martin Gown and paired it with a vintage styled Juliette veil to set the tone for the classic vintage feel.
