Here’s a classic wedding that somehow managed to make the cut for Knotsvilla’s “theme-ful, prop-ful, color-ful or culture-ful” requirement for the style of weddings featured here. Kyle and Kristina’s wedding takes the color-ful route with their Blue Grey wedding by Vanessa Joy Photography. But here’s the catch, the colors don’t really stop at Blue and Grey but extend to hints of Green, Pink and Gold, all so beautifully coordinated through out the whole wedding.
I trust you all would fall in love with this wedding just like I did, enjoy!
About the Couple
“Kyle and I met our junior year in college at Susquehanna University through mutual friends. He was friends with one of my girlfriends who had lived in the house next to mine, but when she told me he was interested in me, I said he was “too nice” for me. With my bad track in dating history, I didn’t think I deserved such a nice guy like Kyle.
However, he won me over a sushi dinner (which is not recommended in central Pennsylvania) with his charm and humor…..and yes, he really is too nice, which is great! We started dating in 2007, which was the beginning of our senior year. Funny enough, I didn’t even know that Kyle had gone to Susquehanna until our junior year- I thought he had transferred in! He said he knew who I was since freshman year, whoops!”
About the Classic Blue Grey Wedding
The inspiration the couple had behind their wedding theme was classic with a touch of nautical flair. Kyle grew up by the shore, and even though they weren’t having a beach wedding, the couple wanted to incorporate the theme into their wedding.
“Our favorite memory from the wedding is from the amazing speeches given by the best man, and maid and matron of honor. It was also so amazing to look out at all of the people in the room who were there for us, and to help us celebrate our marriage.
The feeling on our wedding day that we will describe to our children is of joy and happiness. It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by everyone who loves you, and knowing that they were there having just as good of a time as you were was even better!”
Wedding Planning Advice
“The most important thing in planning our wedding was to make sure we took the time to actually enjoy the process. We both knew how easy it could be to get caught up and carried away with making everything perfect.
We took the time to step back from the hectic planning, and to remember that at the end of the day, we are celebrating our love and unity in marriage.”
