I’m head over heels in love with today’s Blue Coral Beach wedding. When Heather of Meet The Burks sent this over, my heart was flushed; the beauty and creativity in this wedding was a little too charming.
One of our popular posts here on Knotsvilla has been this 10 Ways to Rock your Beach Wedding Inspiration post and ever since then, my ears have been to the ground when it comes to gorgeous Beach weddings. So obviously I quickly accepted today’s wedding submission without giving it a second thought, it’s eye catching and full of love, laughter and perfect beachy objects!
About the Couple & Proposal
Carly and Cody Edge met on Cody’s 18th birthday through a mutual friend. They instantly hit it off and became close friends shortly before they became a couple. Cody and Carly dated 6 years before finally tying the knot, as they both wanted to wait until they completed college.
Cody proposed to Carly by taking her to carve a pumpkin together (their yearly tradition). As Carly cut open the top of the pumpkin and reached inside she was shocked when she looked inside to see not the stuffings of a pumpkin, but a ring box. While she knew the day was coming soon, she had no clue it would be happening that day. She happily said yes and the two began planning the wedding they have dreamed of for six years.
About the Wedding
The couple set their wedding date for May 24, 2014 and tied the knot barefoot on Ocean Isle Beach, NC where they vacationed their entire relationship. Fun details of the wedding ceremony included the set up facing the ocean, the darling cute “here comes the bride” sign and the hilarious bridesmaids “No ring on my finger” photo pose.
Wedding Planning Advice
Their advice for future brides planning a similar event is that pictures are very important. Carly was not willing to skimp on pictures as she wanted beautiful memories that they would both be able to look at for the rest of their lives.
Carly also stresses to future brides not to stress about the small stuff, because in the end, you don’t remember anything you planned, the way you envisioned your day or any of the small details as you walk towards your groom. Relax, enjoy your day, and celebrate the reason the wedding is happening, LOVE!
